Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about our medical waste pickup services.
Pricing & Contracts
Are there hidden fees I should know about?
No. We give you one clear price that covers pickup, transport, and disposal. No fuel surcharges, no environmental fees, no admin charges. The price we quote is the price you pay.
What are your contract terms?
We work with long-term service agreements — it's how we lock in your rate and guarantee your pickup schedule. Every contract is straightforward with clear terms, and we walk you through everything before you sign. No hidden clauses, no surprise fees.
How do your prices compare to the big providers?
Most clinics that switch to us save money — often significantly. If you send us your current invoice, we'll provide a side-by-side comparison so you can see exactly where you stand.
Scheduling & Service
How often can you pick up?
We offer weekly, biweekly, monthly, and on-call pickup options. We'll help you find the right cadence based on your waste volume so you're not paying for pickups you don't need.
How fast can service start?
Most facilities are up and running within 3–5 business days after accepting a quote. If you're in a rush, let us know and we'll do our best to expedite.
Can I change my pickup frequency later?
Yes. If your waste volume changes — for example, during flu season — just call us and we'll adjust. No contract renegotiation needed.
What happens if I need an extra pickup?
Just call or email us. We can schedule on-call pickups in addition to your regular service. There may be a small fee for unscheduled pickups, but we'll always tell you the cost upfront.
Waste Types
What types of waste do you handle?
We handle regulated medical waste including sharps, red bag (biohazard) waste, pathological waste, pharmaceutical waste, dental amalgam waste, and trace chemotherapy waste. If you're unsure whether your waste qualifies, just ask — we'll help you figure it out.
Do you provide containers and supplies?
Yes. We supply sharps containers, red bags, and labels as part of your service — no separate charge. When you switch to us, we bring everything you need on day one.
Can you handle dental amalgam waste?
Yes. We coordinate compliant collection, transport, and recycling of dental amalgam waste through certified recyclers. We also help with amalgam separator compliance under the EPA Dental Rule.
Compliance & Documentation
What paperwork do you provide?
We provide waste manifests, proof of destruction certificates, and pickup records. Everything you need for compliance documentation is included at no extra cost.
Are you compliant with Illinois regulations?
Yes. All pickups follow Illinois EPA, OSHA, and federal DOT requirements. We work exclusively with licensed haulers and approved treatment facilities.
Can you help with OSHA compliance?
We ensure your waste handling meets OSHA requirements — including proper container labeling, segregation, and documentation. If you need guidance on staff training or waste classification, we're happy to help.
Switching Providers
How hard is it to switch from another provider?
Most clinics switch without any gap in service. We coordinate timing so there's no interruption, bring new containers on day one, and handle all the transition logistics.
What if I'm still under contract with another provider?
If you're locked in, we'll tell you. If you're month-to-month or near the end of your contract, we can start the transition process immediately. We'll review your current agreement for you at no charge.
